Common Questions

How do I get an invite code?

Essential Reef is invite-only. Ask a reefer you know who's already a member. If you don't know anyone, email support@essentialreef.com with a brief note about your reefing experience — we review these case by case.

I didn't receive my confirmation email.

Check your spam folder first. If it's not there, email support@essentialreef.com with the email address you used to sign up.

A seller didn't deliver / a buyer didn't pay.

Essential Reef is a community platform, not a payment processor. Payment and shipping happen directly between buyers and sellers. If you believe the other party is acting in bad faith, report them in-app. We can ban bad-faith users, but we cannot recover funds or items — that's between you, your payment provider, and (if necessary) local authorities.

How do I delete my account?

Email support@essentialreef.com from the address associated with your account. We'll confirm and delete within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements (transaction records, moderation history).

Is my data sold?

No. Never. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

I was banned unfairly.

Email support@essentialreef.com with your case within 14 days of action. Include your display name and any relevant context. We review appeals individually.

Yes. Every coral is dipped, inspected,and quarantined to ensure it's pest-free and thriving before it ships.

Absolutely. We offer different pricing tiers based on order size—individual collectors get great prices, and wholesale buyers receive bulk discounts.
How do you ship your corals?
All orders are shipped overnightto ensure everything arrives alive and healthy.Shipping is free on orders over $500
What’s your return policy?
Because corals are live animals,all sales are final. If something arrives DOA, please send a photo within 2 hours of delivery—we’ll make it right.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! Select local pick up at checkout and we’ll reach out to schedule a time.
What does WYSIWYG mean?

WYSIWYG stands for "What You See Is What You Get." If a coral is labeled that way, the exact piece in the photo is the one you'll receive.
