At Essential Reef, we take pride in the health and quality of every coral we ship. While we carefully pack each order for safe transit, unforeseen circumstances can happen—and we’re here to make it right.


✅ Live Arrival Guarantee – Even with Carrier Delays

We guarantee all corals will arrive alive—even if there’s a FedEx or UPS delay. If your corals arrive DOA (Dead on Arrival) due to a carrier issue or otherwise, we will cover the loss with a replacement or store credit.

 

 

DOA Coverage Window

 

As hobbyists ourselves, we know it’s not always obvious within 2 hours if a coral is in trouble. That’s why we give our customers a 12-hour DOA window.

DOA Instructions

To qualify for our DOA coverage, please follow these simple steps:


  1. Notify us within 12 hours of the delivery time—2 hours if the coral looks wrong, unhealthy, or incorrect.
  2. Accept the first delivery attempt – Missed or delayed pickups void the DOA guarantee.
  3. Provide clear photos of the coral(s) in the original unopened bag(s). Do not discard the coral until your claim is reviewed.
  4. Follow our Acclimation Guide exactly – If our recommended acclimation process is not followed, DOA coverage will be void.
  5. If approved, we’ll issue a replacement or full store credit for the affected item(s).
  6. Freebies and previous replacements are not covered under our DOA policy.
  7. All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges.
  8. A 15% restocking fee applies to any canceled order before shipping.

Yes. Every coral is dipped, inspected,and quarantined to ensure it's pest-free and thriving before it ships.

Absolutely. We offer different pricing tiers based on order size—individual collectors get great prices, and wholesale buyers receive bulk discounts.
How do you ship your corals?
All orders are shipped overnightto ensure everything arrives alive and healthy.Shipping is free on orders over $250.
What’s your return policy?
Because corals are live animals,all sales are final. If something arrives DOA, please send a photo within 2 hours of delivery—we’ll make it right.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! Select local pick up at checkout and we’ll reach out to schedule a time.
What does WYSIWYG mean?

WYSIWYG stands for "What You See Is What You Get." If a coral is labeled that way, the exact piece in the photo is the one you'll receive.

Yes—we offer professional maintenance for tanks in the Miami area. Contact us for availability and service plans.
