Purple Firefish
Purple Firefish (Nemateleotris decora)
The Purple Firefish is a stunning and peaceful reef fish, admired for its elongated body, vivid purple head and dorsal fin, and iridescent white-to-lavender gradient body. Its elegant swimming style and shy but curious personality make it a favorite for nano and community reef aquariums.
Native to the Indo-Pacific, this dartfish is hardy, reef safe, and well-suited for both beginner and experienced hobbyists. It does best in peaceful setups with plenty of rockwork for shelter, darting out into the open water column to feed.
