Sixline Wrasse
Sixline Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia)
The Sixline Wrasse is a colorful and active reef fish, easily recognized by its vivid blue horizontal stripes running along a pink-to-orange body, accented by a green tail. Hardy and fast-moving, it is a popular choice for controlling pests such as bristleworms and pyramid snails in reef aquariums.
Native to the Indo-Pacific, this wrasse is best kept in peaceful to moderately aggressive communities with plenty of rockwork for hiding and foraging. While generally reef safe, it may become territorial, especially toward similar-shaped fish in smaller tanks.
